Samuel Holliday

I’m Samuel Holliday, a dedicated private tutor specialising in Maths and Physics for students from KS3 through to A-Level. With an MPhys degree and experience as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Lincoln, I bring both academic rigour and a passion for making complex concepts accessible. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether they’re preparing for exams or simply want to deepen their understanding of the subjects. I believe in fostering a relaxed, friendly environment where questions are encouraged and curiosity is nurtured. My approach goes beyond the formulaic teaching often found in schools, focusing instead on the human side of mathematics and physics—exploring their history, creativity, and real-world applications. I hold a DBS check and limit my sessions to within a 15-minute journey of Lincoln, ensuring convenience for local families. When I’m not tutoring, you’ll find me hiking in wild places or riding my motorbike, but my true joy comes from helping students unlock their potential. I offer an initial free session to assess ability and set goals, with no obligation. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just want to build confidence, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
