The work around the lesson, finally connected.

TutorLab connects the public profile that brings in parents with the workspace that runs every student afterwards, so you do not need separate directories, spreadsheets and admin tools.

One platform, five connected jobs

Everything around the lesson, handled.

From the first parent enquiry to the final payment, every part of the tutoring workflow stays connected, so you can spend more time teaching and less time moving information between tools.

Get found

Help the right families find you.

A public profile parents can search by subject, level and location, with your rate and experience clear from the start.

Plan and teach

Plan from the right exam-board context.

Create lesson plans, homework and questions around the student’s subject, level and specification, not a generic prompt.

Keep parents informed

Turn session notes into a parent-ready update.

Draft a clear parent report in around 30 seconds, then edit and send it in your own voice.

Stay organised

Every student, session and payment stays connected.

Recurring lessons, notes, payment status and HMRC-ready records live around the same student, not across separate spreadsheets.

Keep control

Your rate. Your clients. Your business.

Parents contact you directly, existing students remain yours and TutorLab takes 0% lesson commission on your own students.

What tutors say

TutorLab saves me around 3 hours a week on lesson planning alone. I genuinely can't believe I used to do all of this by hand.
SMSarah MitchellGCSE Maths Tutor, Bristol
Got my first parent enquiry through my profile within 48 hours of signing up. Wasn't expecting that bit at all.
JOJames OkaforA-Level Physics & Chemistry, London
The parent reports are brilliant. They sound exactly like me — not like a robot wrote them. Parents always comment on them.
MHMegan HughesPrimary & 11+ Specialist, Cardiff
Tax time used to take a whole weekend. I downloaded the HMRC summary and sent it to my accountant in five minutes.
RNRiya NairGCSE Biology, Birmingham
I teach 14 students a week. Having every note, session and invoice in one place has completely changed how I run things.
DPDaniel PryceA-Level Economics & Business, Leeds
The AI lesson plans are scarily good. I tweak them a little but they nail the exam-board style every single time.
AKAmara KofiGCSE & A-Level Chemistry, Manchester
Two new students found me through TutorLab this term. I was already using it for lesson plans, so that was a lovely bonus.
TWThomas Walsh11+ & KS2 Maths, North London
Moved off my spreadsheet in a week. I honestly don't know how I managed sessions and invoicing before this.
PSPriya SharmaFrench & Spanish Tutor, Edinburgh
My parents say how professional my updates look now. They have no idea each one takes me about 30 seconds.

Keep the business you build

A platform fee should not grow every time you do.

TutorLab charges a flat subscription for the software. Your students remain your clients, and optional card payments use a disclosed processing fee instead of a commission on every lesson.

A £40 lesson

Keep your rate.

On TutorLab, lesson commission on your own students is 0%. Optional card collection has a disclosed fee from 3.4%; bank-transfer invoicing has no TutorLab transaction fee.

The structural difference

Your client stays yours.

Set your own rate and keep the relationship.
Payments land in your own connected account.
Export transactions and tax records when needed.
Paid plans buy software, not better directory placement.
Plans for every stage

Simple, honest pricing.

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Choose a plan, add your card and pay £0 today; your first charge is after day 14. Start on Pro Max to try the full toolkit, then switch or cancel before the trial ends and pay nothing. A plan changes which software features you get, not how many students or genuine enquiries you can handle.

Before you decide

Questions, answered clearly.

The details tutors and families usually want before they move their students, payments and records into one place.

Is TutorLab free for parents?
Yes. Searching, browsing and messaging tutors costs you nothing, and you do not need an account to enquire. You pay your tutor's own hourly rate for lessons, with no agency fee added on top.
Does TutorLab take commission on my lessons?
No. Never. You set your rate and keep all of it. TutorLab is a flat subscription, plus a flat card fee from 3.4% only when a parent pays you by card. A card fee, not a commission. We make money when your business runs, not by taking a slice of your teaching.
Does TutorLab hold my money?
No. Payments go straight into your own bank account. TutorLab never holds or freezes your earnings.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your students' details and lesson notes stay private to your account and are never sold or shared. You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time.
How much does TutorLab cost?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, £0 today, cancel any time before your first charge. Core is £12/month (unlimited students and AI). Pro is £24/month (everything in Core plus the analytics dashboard, HMRC tax export and a Pro badge). Pro Max is £49/month (everything in Pro plus the AI Profile Analyser and the lowest card fee on TutorLab). Organic directory results rank for parent fit and response readiness. Annual plans are 2 months free across all tiers.
Which exam boards does TutorLab support?
UK: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC/Eduqas, CCEA, SQA. International: IB, Cambridge International, College Board (AP/SAT), CBSE, ICSE, NCEA, HSC, VCE, HKDSE, Leaving Certificate, and more. Every AI tool generates output grounded in the specific board's specification and command words.
Is the public profile page really free?
Yes. Your profile page and parent inquiry form cost nothing to set up, and the 14-day trial needs £0 today. Tutors can talk with parents in-platform before committing. A current plan and Payments setup are required when a TutorLab-sourced parent is accepted or imported as a student. Pro adds analytics; Pro Max adds the AI Profile Analyser and the lowest card fee.
How does the parent report actually work?
After a session, log it in TutorLab: what you covered, any notes. Then click 'Generate report'. The AI reads your notes and writes a warm, professional parent update in British English: what was covered, how the student did, what to work on next. It takes 30 seconds. You can edit it before sending.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the billing portal whenever you want. No contracts, no cancellation fees. You keep access until the end of the billing period.
Will my price go up after I subscribe?
No. The price you join on never rises while you stay subscribed. When prices rise for new tutors, existing subscribers keep their old rate: tutors who joined at launch still pay their original founding price today.
What happens to my business if TutorLab ever shuts down?
Very little, by design. Lesson money goes straight into your own bank account through your own payment account, never a TutorLab wallet, and your student records and invoices export on request. Every family you teach is your client, so your business survives any platform, including ours.
How is TutorLab different from tutoring software like TutorCruncher or TutorBird?
Tools like TutorCruncher and TutorBird are back-office software: they help you run students you already have, but bring you no new ones. Marketplaces and agencies bring students but take a commission on every lesson and keep the client. TutorLab does both: a Google-indexed profile that brings parents to you, plus scheduling, AI lesson notes, parent reports and invoicing, with no commission on your own students, just an optional card fee from 3.4% if you take card payments.
Do I have to spend hours entering data before I see any value?
No. The first thing you do after signing up is watch AI write a full parent report in seconds, from a demo student, before you set anything up. Bringing in your own students is the next step: upload a CSV or paste your list (TutorBird, Teachworks, TutorCruncher and spreadsheet exports are all pre-mapped), and most tutors are done in under 5 minutes.
Is 14 days long enough to try TutorLab?
For most tutors, yes: you see value in your first session, not after two weeks of setup. Log one session and a parent report drafts itself in 30 seconds. £0 today; no charge before day 14, cancel any time before then.
Build the business. Keep the business.

You teach. TutorLab runs the rest.

Publish your profile, bring over your students and see your first lesson plan or parent report take shape before you pay anything.
