About OCR A-Level Computer Science

OCR is the third major English exam board and is used by a significant proportion of schools, particularly in the South East and Midlands. It runs two A-Level chemistry specs (A and B Salters), and its Computer Science spec is highly regarded for rigour. OCR mark schemes tend to accept a broader range of phrasing than AQA.

OCR GCSE and A-Level Computer Science is widely used and considered one of the more rigorous specs. A-Level includes a significant programming project (NEA) worth 20% of the grade. Tutors help students scope and debug their projects as well as preparing for the written examinations.
