I am a passionate Latin and Classical Civilisations tutor based in Elsworth, just outside Cambridge. With over twenty years of experience teaching in schools and privately, I specialise in helping students from all ages and abilities—whether they're struggling with Cicero, grappling with subjunctives, or simply need support to keep up with Latin. I understand the challenges firsthand, having myself sobbed over subjunctives in the past! My Master’s in Medieval Latin allows me to offer unique insights beyond the Classical curriculum, ideal for students exploring Latin for UCAS statements or personal interest. I’ve taught a wide range of A-Level and GCSE topics, including OCR and AQA specifications, covering everything from Homeric papers to Virgil. Since lockdown, I’ve also supported adults looking to learn Latin for further study, career changes, or personal enjoyment. Lessons are held at my kitchen table in Elsworth, with availability on Saturday mornings and some weekdays. I charge £45 per hour and always welcome a cup of tea—though my kids often claim the biscuits first!
