Christine Edwards

I am a professional Scottish harpist based in Glasgow with a home studio. I teach students worldwide via video calling as well as in person. I hold the Licentiate of the London College of Music Diploma (LLCM) in Irish Traditional Music Performance on the Irish Harp. I trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, University of Glasgow, Royal Irish Academy of Music and Trinity College Dublin. I perform on a Salvi Diana Concert Grand pedal harp and clarsach, and travel to perform for events throughout the country, including on the QE2. I helped establish the North East of Scotland Branch of the Clarsach Society and founded the North East Harp Ensemble for harpists of all ages and abilities. I am a regular tutor at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival. I offer online live lessons, on-demand lesson streaming and beginner harp hire for Scottish students. I have been teaching since 2007.
