Lizzy Alageswaran

I am an artist and art tutor with over 35 years of experience, teaching and sharing my skills since 1986. My work focuses on painting mountain and fragile landscapes in oil on canvas, exploring our relationship with the natural world. I specialise in portrait painting and landscapes, particularly the fragile ecosystems that require our care. I love painting moorland birds like Lapwings and Skylarks, as well as plants such as Bog Cotton, Bog Bean, Bladderwort and Sundew. As a community artist, I enjoy teaching and demonstrating my techniques, whether through workshops or one-to-one tuition. My studio in Walkley, Sheffield, is a creative space I share with my partner, where visitors can see my work and purchase finished pieces, prints, and cards. I also undertake commissions and offer step-free studio access for all. Based in Walkley, I’m available for lessons and workshops, combining my passion for art with a commitment to accessibility and local engagement.
