Lydie Harmand

I am an enthusiastic and devoted French teacher with over 23 years of experience teaching students of all ages and proficiency levels. I currently provide private and online lessons to 43 students weekly, many of whom have been with me for a year or longer. My students achieve rapid progress while enjoying their lessons, thanks to my patient and engaging teaching style. I tailor my approach to each learner’s needs, ensuring they receive top-quality tutoring at an affordable rate. Born and raised in Normandie, France, I graduated from Université de Caen Normandie in Adult Vocational Training. My career includes 14 years teaching French to foreign students, 6 years as an educator for children with disabilities, and a year at a French immersion school in Austin, Texas. I also teach at the Austin International School. Passionate about French culture, arts, and literature, I love sharing my expertise with learners worldwide. My teaching philosophy combines effectiveness with compassion, helping every student unlock their potential. Based in Austin, I offer one-on-one and online lessons via Skype.
