Experienced Science Teacher & Private Tutor | GCSE & A-Level

I am a qualified Chemistry and Science teacher working in a secondary school in London, with over 12 years of teaching experience and more than 10 years of private tutoring experience.

My approach is to make even the most challenging scientific concepts clear, manageable and easy to understand. I break topics down into small, logical steps, using straightforward explanations and carefully structured practice to help students grasp concepts quickly and apply their knowledge confidently in examinations.

Building students’ confidence is at the heart of my teaching. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes and making steady progress. I have extensive experience supporting students with different learning needs, including dyslexia, autism and ADHD, adapting my teaching methods to suit individual strengths, learning styles and concentration levels.

I provide personalised lessons tailored to each student’s needs, focusing on strengthening subject knowledge, addressing gaps in understanding, developing examination technique and helping students reach their full potential.

Although I teach in a secondary school, private tutoring is a particularly rewarding part of my professional life. I value the opportunity to work individually with students, understand their specific challenges and help them develop the knowledge and confidence to succeed.
