Jordan Hunt

With over twenty-two years of teaching experience alongside my twenty-four-year career as a professional musician, I specialise in violin, viola, piano, music theory, composition and songwriting. My approach is deeply personal, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals—whether reviving an old skill, starting from scratch or advancing to higher levels. I’ve taught in whole-class school settings, composition workshops and private tuition, guiding students through ABRSM and Trinity exams while prioritising learning for pleasure. My background includes studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Manchester University and Royal College of Music, alongside work as a former Trinity Board Music Theory examiner and tutor for Hammersmith & Fulham, Camden and THAMES music services. As a composer, I’ve collaborated with leading British orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra and London Sinfonietta, and as a violinist, I’ve worked with artists like Lana Del Rey and Kylie Minogue. Lessons are available in-person at my Central London studio or online, with a minimum duration of 60 minutes.
