Gabrielle HaywardGCSE Biology tutor in London

I have 8 years of experience as science teacher in a rigorous, high achieving academy in Hackney. The school is known for producing outstanding student results, with students going to University of Cambridge and Oxford. Students grades on average at my current school are one whole grade higher than the national average predicted grades across the country. This means if you are predicted a grade 5/6, you will come out with a 7 or more.

I have experience teaching AQA Combined Science with a main specialism in Biology and Chemistry as well as A-Level Biology. I have a 2:1 undergraduate degree in Biology from University of Leeds. I completed my PGCE postgraduate degree in Secondary Biology at the University of East London. I combine high expectations with a well-structured curriculum and excellent quality teaching resources. I provide materials for you to do independently to supplement our 1-1 sessions.

I support by highlighting common misconceptions, in order to rectify common mistakes and give you a deeper understanding of the subject and exam technique. Sessions are 1 or 2 hours long. I have flexible hours to match your availability for weekdays and/or evenings. I will preplan our session so that it is tailored to you.

Our first introductory call is free, which is to get to know you and make sure we are a good fit and to discuss your strengths and weaknesses. Prices are higher than others due to my experience level and the fact that multiple lessons are combined into one session, covering a range of topics, depending on needs and level. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries or would like to discuss pricing.
