I have over 25 years of teaching experience, including 15 years as a University Lecturer, where I taught Postgraduate and Medical students. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how students learn and how to explain complex scientific concepts clearly to meet the learning needs of pupils.

I have extensive experience in assessment and examination. I have worked as both an internal and external examiner and have developed a strong understanding of how students are assessed and what is required to achieve higher grades.

I specialise in providing online GCSE Science tuition to Years 9–11 students across the UK. I teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Combined Science across major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR Gateway and iGCSE.

I deliberately keep my classes small, with a maximum of four students, allowing me to provide individual attention and tailor lessons to each student's exam board, ability and areas for improvement.

My teaching focuses on developing strong subject knowledge alongside practical exam skills, including past papers, exam technique, 6-mark questions, scientific terminology, graphs, revision strategies and practical skills.

Many of my students have also gone on to study subjects including Medicine, Cardiac Physiology, Pharmacy, Optometry, Biomedical Sciences, Dentistry, Nursing and other healthcare-related courses.

My aim is not simply to help students learn science, but to build their confidence and equip them with the knowledge, understanding and exam skills they need to achieve their full potential in their GCSE Science examinations.
