I’m Justina, a Medicinal Chemistry student at the University of Leicester, currently achieving a high 2:1. Chemistry has been a huge part of my life since school, and I know exactly what it takes to go from struggling with a subject to genuinely enjoying it.

At GCSE I turned my predicted grade completely around in the space of a month, walking away with an A/A* in Combined Science Higher Tier. At A Level I missed an A in Chemistry by a single mark, so I understand better than most how much the small details matter and how close success and disappointment can sit next to each other. That experience shapes how I teach today, with a real focus on precision, exam technique and not leaving marks on the table.

Outside of academic work, I’ve spent time in customer facing roles where I regularly trained and supported new starters, which taught me how to explain things clearly, adapt to different people and stay patient no matter how many times something needs repeating. I’m friendly, approachable and genuinely invested in seeing my students improve, not just get through a lesson.

I believe every student can succeed in Chemistry with the right guidance, enough practice and someone who’s patient enough to explain things as many times as it takes. That’s exactly what I aim to offer.
