Stevie WakehamOnline Primary English tutor

I’m Stevie — a QTS‐qualified British English teacher, SEND specialist, and Mandarin speaker offering personalised online English and Psychology tutoring for learners in the UK and worldwide.

With three years of classroom experience teaching English, A‐level Psychology, and supporting SEND learners, I specialise in adapting lessons to individual needs. Whether you’re preparing for GCSE or A‐level exams, building academic writing skills, improving speaking confidence, or developing professional Business English, I provide structured, supportive teaching tailored to your goals.

I have extensive experience working with learners who benefit from a more personalised approach — including students with additional learning needs, EAL/ESL learners, and international students preparing to study in the UK. As a Mandarin speaker, I also welcome Mandarin‐speaking families and professionals; English remains the main lesson language, but Mandarin can be used to clarify complex concepts when helpful.

I support:

GCSE English Language & Literature

A‐level English

A‐level Psychology (AQA)

SEND‐focused individualised learning

ESL/EFL & international English

Business English (meetings, presentations, emails, negotiations)

Mandarin‐supported English learning

My teaching combines academic expertise with a friendly, confidence‐building approach. Every lesson is personalised, structured, and designed to help you progress quickly and feel supported throughout your learning journey.
