How does the Wirral 11 Plus work?

Four Wirral grammar schools, Calday Grange, West Kirby, Wirral Grammar for Boys and Wirral Grammar for Girls, share the Wirral Admissions Test: two multiple-choice papers covering verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning and maths, sat on one day in mid-September of Year 6. The Catholic grammars, St Anselm's College and Upton Hall, hold their own separate entrance exams in the same month.

Yes. From the September 2026 sitting, the Wirral Admissions Test is provided by Quest Assessments rather than GL Assessment.
